At its core, photography is the art of capturing light. But what if we set out to photograph our surroundings in a way that makes the light itself more tangible and expressive? In the “Dancing Lights” collection, I have sought to portray the essence and beauty of light from a completely different perspective.
Whenever I step into nature, one of the most fascinating things that catches my eye is the stones resting in the middle of a stream or river. They are symbols of commitment and resilience in the face of ever-harsh conditions. They may have been firmly rooted in that very spot for days or even years, simply laughing at the surrounding chaos.
Driven by my boundless passion and love for nature, the “Hampoeil Cave” collection is an endeavor to photograph parts of the natural world that are ordinarily shrouded in such darkness that visibility is virtually zero. These environments—caves—are among the most unique and secluded corners of our planet. Through this photo series, I have sought to capture and reveal the immense, hidden beauty of Hampoeil Cave.
This photo collection was captured at the Awhadi Maraghai Museum. The documentation of these artifacts was made possible through the museum’s generous assistance and guidance. Photographing such artifacts allows them to be preserved and utilized for academic study, historical and research books, magazines, and beyond. My primary motivation for creating this series was to conduct personal research on the museum’s collection, with the intention of featuring them in my future books.
